Apple Mac Repair Requests Week 2 Part 1. Updated 2023

Good day ZA Support Readers

It is the second week of January and there are quite a few requests for repairs.

The Problem

Liquid has been spilled on the Mac.

Repair suggestion

You need to disconnect the Mac immediately from power and make sure the Mac is turned off. To determine the outcome of the liquid damage it is necessary to get the Mac in for an assessment.

The outcome of this assessment

Once the Mac has been opened the damage was too severe to be repaired.

Suggestions regarding liquid spills

After a liquid spill, your Mac can keep on working which is deceptive as internally there is corrosion and it gets worse over time. It is important that you take your Mac to a Repair Centre as soon as a liquid spill has happened to determine the damage and minimize the repair. The longer you wait the more damage can be expected.

Until more interesting requests in Part 2.
