There are several reasons why your laptop’s audio may not be working and the following can assist you to eliminate the basic ones.
Here they are:
Malfunction of the speakers.
Muted Volume.
Windows may be sending sound to the wrong audio device.
Disruption can be caused by audio enhancements.
Conflicting audio drivers after operating system update.
A few tips on what to do:
Check the volume.
Click on the speaker icon and make sure the volume is on and turned up.
Use headphones
If the audio works it means you have a problem with your built-in speakers.
Check Audio Devices
Your operating system may be sending sound to the incorrect audio device.
Select one device at a time and if the sound works you have found the problem.
Disable any audio enhancement.
A built-in feature that improves your audio experience can be disabled.
Use the audio troubleshooter.
