Part 3. Updated 2023
Our weekly Apple Mac Repair Request Week 2 Part 3. Updated 2023
Good day to our ZA Support readers
Another interesting request that I can share with you today.
Reported Problem
My Apple Mac has a black screen although I can hear my Mac starting up.
Possible Reasons
– The screen could be damaged due to impact or liquid damage
– If you connect your Mac to an external screen and the screen is still not showing it could be something else for example logic board damage due to load shedding or liquid spills.
– If your screen comes on when it is not fully opened but goes black once opened it could be a flex gate issue where the screen needs to be replaced due to wear on the flex cable.
Solution
Book your Mac in for an assessment to determine the real problem.
Outcome
If you have to replace a screen it can be a costly exercise and it would be to your benefit to make sure your Mac is insured to carry the financial burden.
