Week 1 Apple Mac repair requests feedback. Updated 2023

Good morning ZA Support readers.
We get daily repair requests and in my weekly Article, I will explain some of these. Some of our clients are very knowledgeable about their Macs and others are not so much.

Client’s Question

Mac has been updated with the latest macOS and the keyboard on the Mac is only working intermittently. Now the Mac will not switch on at all.

Possible Reason

It could be that your memory is too small to handle the upgrade and that is why the Mac is not switching on.

After assessment

The real problem was that someone ripped off the connector to the logic board and covered it with masking tape.

Outcome

This Mac is irreparable. The lesson to be learned here is to be careful who you take your Mac to and not to try to do it yourself.
Until next week when we will share some more interesting problems.
